Hong Kong Panorama

A total of 14 Hong Kong films were showcased at this year's New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF), held July 15 - 31, featuring an exhilarating lineup of new film productions and classic retrospectives under “Hong Kong Panorama”.

Hong Kong singer-actor Josie Ho was invited to join this year's NYAFF, with her latest project “Finding Bliss: Fire and Ice”, an inspiring music documentary filmed in Iceland. The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, New York (HKETONY) organized a welcome reception in honor of Ho prior to the film screening on July 18. Film director Sunny Chan met with New York audience at the North American premiere of his film “Table for Six” on July 23.

On July 16, an outdoor screening of Wong Kar Wai's classic “Happy Together” at Lincoln Center received an overwhelming response with a full house. The screening was part of the exciting line up of the “Hong Kong Panorama” at this year's NYAFF. It was also part of three-month-long Summer for the City program at Lincoln Center.
