Hong Kong entrepreneur joins New York's Public Art Fund

Adrian Cheng is the newest member of the board of directors at New York's Public Art Fund. 

Hong Kong businessman and art collector Adrian Cheng has joined the board of directors at New York’s Public Art Fund. 

Mr. Cheng is the executive vice-chairman of New World Development and founder and chairman of K11, which includes the K11 Art Foundation and K11 Art Mall.  K11’s mission is to promote Chinese art across the globe by working with international institutions.

Mr. Cheng is on the board of directors of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong and sits on the M+ Museum and Interim Acquisition Committee. He sits on the Visiting Committee for Asian art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. 

The Public Art Fund is a nonprofit organization that brings dynamic contemporary art to a broad audience in New York City. Since its inception in 1977, the fund has presented more than 400 artists’ exhibitions and projects at sites throughout New York City’s five boroughs.
