In his meeting with the New York business community on August 22, Director-General of Investment Promotion of Invest Hong Kong Stephen Phillips said InvestHK wants to help companies grow in and via Hong Kong.

He highlighted business opportunities Hong Kong offers to US companies, under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area. With a landscape covering 68 countries and regions, the BRI offers business opportunities in various sectors, including infrastructure and financial services while the vibrant market size in the Bay Area offers serious propositions for the logistics and professional services sectors.

Mr Phillips also said that Hong Kong, with the confluence of academic expertise and vibrant start-up scene, is committed to be the leading innovation and technology hub in Asia.

Established in 2000, InvestHK’s vision is to strengthen Hong Kong’s status as the leading international business location in Asia. It has offices around the world including two in the US located in New York and San Francisco.
