Hong Kong Information Center - Atlanta
The Hong Kong Information Center - Atlanta is the leading organization in Atlanta dealing with all Hong Kong-related issues. The Information Center facilitates interaction with Hong Kong through its parent organization, the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office (New York). It promotes business and economic ties and fosters mutual understanding between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the United States.
The Information Center puts on numerous business briefings, seminars and conferences, and speaker luncheons in Atlanta and the surrounding area. In addition to providing assistance to companies seeking economic ties with Hong Kong SAR, the Center can also provide valuable resources including trade statistics and other economic data relating to Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Trade Development Council
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council promotes and develops bilateral trade with the U.S. Regular activities include organization and participation in high profile department store/shopping mall promotions, trade fairs, product exhibitions, trade missions, conferences and seminars both in Hong Kong and the U.S. To reinforce Hong Kong as an important market and sourcing center as well as a gateway to China, the Council also handles trade enquiries for its 64,000 trade contacts plus 90,000 mainland Chinese enterprises in its database; and provides up-to-date trade and market information by means of frequent product publications and research reports.

Hong Kong Monetary Authority
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) was established on April 1, 1993, by merging the Office of the Exchange Fund with the Office of the Commissioner of Banking. This was done to ensure that the central banking functions of maintaining monetary and banking stability can be performed with a high degree of professionalism and continuity, in the lead up to 1997 and beyond, in a manner that commands the confidence of the people of Hong Kong and the international financial community. The policy objectives of the HKMA include:
- to maintain currency stability, within the framework of the linked exchange rate system, through sound management of the Exchange Fund, monetary policy operations and other means deemed necessary;
- to promote the safety and stability of the banking system through the regulation of banking business and the business of taking deposits, and the supervision of authorized institutions; and
- to promote the efficiency, integrity and development of the financial system, particularly payment and settlement arrangements.
