Hong Kong Chief Executive C.Y. Leung (right) meets Jin Liqun, the visiting President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Hong Kong Chief Executive C.Y. Leung met Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Liqun at the Chief Executive’s Office on April 6 to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.

Mr. Leung expressed gratitude for Mr. Jin’s enormous support for Hong Kong on the city’s participation in the AIIB.

Noting that the AIIB will actively promote infrastructure projects in Asia, Mr. Leung said that Hong Kong possesses world-class talents and rich experience in professional services, such as financing and engineering, which could support the work of the AIIB.

He added that he hoped Hong Kong could become a member of the AIIB as soon as possible to contribute to the work of the AIIB and infrastructure development in Asia.
