Cathay Pacific increases Boston flights; receives safety honor

Cathay Pacific Airways is increasing its weekly nonstop flights to Boston.

Cathay Pacific Airways is expanding its nonstop Boston to Hong Kong service from four to five flights per week, beginning May 5.

It was just last May that Cathay Pacific’s inaugural Boston to Hong Kong flight linked New England and Hong Kong directly for the first time.

This additional flight demonstrates both the growing market for leisure and business travelers as well as Cathay Pacific’s ongoing commitment to expanding connectivity between North America and Asia.

The flight schedule for Cathay Pacific’s Boston service is as follows (all times local):

Airline ranks first in safety

Cathay Pacific also was recently named the safest airline in the world for the second consecutive year by the Jet Airliner Crash Data Evaluation Centre (JACDEC).

JACDEC evaluates risk and compares different aspects of global aviation safety. Emirates and EVA Air placed second and third, respectively, on this year’s list.

Cathay Pacific, founded in 1946, is Asia’s biggest international airline, traveling to 187 destinations. It operates direct flights from Hong Kong to New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
