WeWork opens co-working office space in Hong Kong

WeWork opened its first office in Hong Kong on Sept. 1.

New York-headquartered WeWork opened its first co-working office space in Hong Kong on September 1, tapping into demand for flexible leasing in a city known for high office rents. A second location in the city will come on the market later this year.

WeWork will provide up to 200,000 square feet of office space that can accommodate more than 2,000 desks for companies seeking a convenient base or exploring the possibility of expanding into Hong Kong.

WeWork’s Asia Pacific managing director Ole Ruch said Hong Kong is an important market for the company and it plans to continue expanding in the city.
