New York businesses learn about
Hong Kong's strong tech ecosystem

Andrew Young of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation highlighted the city's efforts in the innovation and technology sector.

New York-based business and corporate executives learned first-hand about Hong Kong’s strengthening innovation and technology ecosystem at a January 15 breakfast seminar, featuring Andrew Young, chief commercial officer of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP).

Mr. Young highlighted HKSTP’s vision is to create an ecosystem that can capitalize on R&D ideas to deliver social and economic benefits to Hong Kong and the region, leveraging on Hong Kong’s essential qualities including its global financial and business hub status and its efficient logistics networks.

Supporting Hong Kong’s efforts to diversify its economy and create knowledge-based jobs, HKSTP is pursuing of talents, startup opportunities and technology the U.S. in three thematic platforms: Robotics, Smart City and Healthy Ageing.

The seminar was organized by the Hong Kong Association of New York.
