HKEx Chief Executive highlights territory's advantages in NYC

Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) Charles Li was in New York on March 6 to speak at the 15th Sir Gordon Wu Distinguished Speaker Forum, organized by the Jerome A. Chazen Institute of International Business of Columbia Business School.

Acting Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office New York Paul Cheung welcomed Mr. Li’s visit at the forum.

Speaking on the topic of “Hong Kong at a Crossroad: What strategic choices does it have amid China's internationalization?” Mr. Li highlighted Hong Kong’s competitive advantages in the midst of China’s accelerated economic growth and how the “One Country, Two Systems” principle has benefited both Hong Kong and mainland China. He also spoke about the latest developments of HKEx and of Hong Kong’s commodities market.
