Policy address outlines new trade and finance measures

Record number of overseas, Mainland companies; U.S. tops contingent
The total number of overseas and mainland Chinese parent companies running business operations in Hong Kong has recorded its highest level to date: 6,948 companies, or a 5.9% increase from 2010, according to the results of an annual survey released October 20 by Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) and the Census and Statistics Department.

U.S., Hong Kong environmental agencies to increase cooperation
The Environmental Protection Department (EPD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government signed a statement of intent with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on October 26, outlining a joint commitment for closer cooperation.

The Information Services Department (ISD) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government on October 14 launched a new iPad application (app) for the government's latest yearbook, "Hong Kong 2010."
