125 scholars accepted into Ph.D. fellowship program
One hundred and twenty-five elite candidates from 19 countries and regions have accepted offers in the second round of a Ph.D. fellowship program in Hong Kong, according to the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong.
Among these awardees in the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2011/12, 31 (24.8%) candidates are from other countries and regions, including 11 (8.8%) from Europe, 14 (11.2%) from Asian countries other than Mainland China and Hong Kong, and six (4.8%) from the Americas. Eighty-two (65.6%) are from the Mainland, and 12 (9.6%) from Hong Kong.
