NY dragon boat festival video highlighted in Times Square

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York (HKDBF-NY), Director of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in New York (HKETONY) Monica Chen (front row, second from right), joined by Director-Designate of the HKETONY Anita Chan (back row, second from right), Chairman of the HKDBF-NY Henry Wan (back row, second from left) and Senior Vice-President of HSBC Elizabeth Lee (front row, second from left) unveiled a 30-second video at New York’s Times Square on June 23.

The video will be rotated on the HSBC jumbotron in Times Square for the next six weeks to celebrate the rich history of the HKDBF-NY and will culminate in this year’s festival, to be held on August 7-8 at the Flushing Meadows/ Corona Park in Queens. The festival was started by HKETONY in 1991 and has evolved into one of the biggest multi-cultural events in New York. HKETONY continues to be the lead sponsor of the festival.
