Financial Secretary unveils budget measures to boost recovery
On February 24,Hong Kong Financial Secretary John C. Tsang announced in his annual budget a series of measures to build on Hong Kong’s economic recovery from the global financial crisis. Mr. Tsang also unveiled initiatives to stabilize the property market and develop six priority industries.

HKETONY hosts spring receptions to welcome Year of the Tiger
Hong Kong is off to an auspicious start in the Year of the Tiger with its ranking as the world's freest economy for the 16th consecutive year by The Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal, said Hong Kong Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA, Donald Tong, as he welcomed more than 400 guests to the annual spring reception in New York City hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, New York (HKETONY) on February 23.

'Year of the Tiger' concerts celebrate new year
To celebrate the Chinese New Year and showcase Hong Kong's artistic talents, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, New York (HKETONY) hosted two concerts in Chicago and Atlanta on February 25 and March 1, respectively.

Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council issues 2008-2010 Term Report
On February 23, the Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council issued a term report on its work for 2008-2010. Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang said he was pleased to note that the Business Council had put forth very constructive views on major areas relating to Hong Kong/Guangdong cooperation.

Hong Kong ranks among best in biological science and medicine
Hong Kong’s academic research and education on biological science and medicine have a good reputation and rank among the best in the Asia-Pacific region, Hong Kong Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Communications and Technology) Duncan Pescod said.

New agreement reached on Internet domain name administration
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government signed a new Designation Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) on March 17, with a view to enhancing the administration of Internet domain names in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong film wins Crystal Bear award in Berlin
"Echoes of the Rainbow,” directed by Alex Law and produced by Mabel Cheung, won the Crystal Bear for Best Feature Film in the Generation section of the 60th Berlinale 2010 on February 20. This marks the first time a Hong Kong film has won the award.
