The Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival 2009  will be held August 21-24 at Hall 1 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The festival, organized by The Chamber of Hong Kong Computer Industry, was first launched in 2004 in response to the rapid development of computer and information technology (IT) and the need for new opportunities in the industry. It has since become the largest IT exhibition in the region.

Last year’s festival was well received by all parties, with more than 80 local and overseas professional organizations registered as supporting organizations. The four-day exhibition, showcasing more than 600 booths, generated more than US$28.2 million in business turnover. The 2008 event also attracted a record-breaking flow of more than 510,000 visitors from all around the world, including the Mainland, Southeast Asia and the United States.

This year’s event will have 50% more exhibition space and will showcase more innovative products and the latest technology, such as high-definition audiovisuals, digital products, software, business solutions, games and export zones. The chamber is dedicated to organizing the best marketing channel for the industry.
