Hong Kong remains world’s freest economy
Hong Kong remains the world’s freest economy according to the findings of the Economic Freedom of the World: 2009 Annual Report released September 14 by the Cato Institute. This marks the 13th consecutive year Hong Kong has topped the ranking.

Hong Kong’s status as one of the world’s and Asia Pacific’s leading destinations for foreign direct investment (FDI) has been reaffirmed by the World Investment Report 2009 released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on September 18.
