On July 30, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York Monica Chen presided over the closing bell ceremony at the NASDAQ stock market in New York to celebrate the 18th Annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York.
Also present at the ceremony were Chairman of the Host Committee of the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York Henry Wan and representatives of the festival's various sponsors.
The festival, to be held August 2-3 at Meadows Lake in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York, is one of the oldest and largest traditional dragon boat festivals in the United States. About 150 teams will be competing in this year's event.
The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York is the festival benefactor for this year's event.
